FEB 09: WEATHERING CHRONIC CONDITIONS - MED BROADCAST

When I was in high school, I played mixed doubles on the school badminton team. Given that I played a sport that’s relatively unpopular in Western culture, I wasn’t too surprised when I found out early on that our practices were relegated to 6 am in the morning on Tuesdays and Thursdays, roughly between the months of January and March. After school practices and better conditions in the spring, summer, and fall were reserved for basketball, volleyball, and other more popular sports. Meh.

This translated to getting up at 5 am in the morning, groggy and deprived of sleep, putting on my dad’s huge parka, and shoveling through 20 inches of snow on a relatively big driveway. Somewhere between the snow shoveling and the rigorous practices and many sweaty wristbands later, moderate arthritis on my right arm developed. Since then, I have had a “sixth sense? about the weather, often being able to sense when it’s going to rain cats and dogs by assessing the dull ache and throbbing on my wrist and lower arm. Obviously it wasn’t the most accurate predictor, but whenever it did warn me, I felt better prepared to nurse an impending flare-up. For me, an arthritis flare-up is often associated with the weather of the day...click here for full article

An Important Update From MediClim - New Beginnings

Dear Member,

Just a few short weeks ago, MediClim was close to shutting down. After 3 years of providing 3.5 million reliable health forecasts to over 30,000 subscribers across the globe we decided it was time to pack it in and go our separate ways. It was a time of great sadness to us all. It was also a time of great confusion. How could it be that after all the great feedback we've had from you, our subscribers, MediClim was dissolving? Then something magical happened.

We can't tell you too much – our lawyers are still wary. But be aware. Be very aware. Great things are coming to MediClim and to you too. Even better than you imagined. And they are coming soon. So please be on the lookout for future communications from us – and how YOU can be an integral part of keeping momentum alive.

Watch for:

  • Enhanced alerts that are more accurate, more timely and more informative
  • More meaningful interaction with you, our dedicated subscribers
  • More services for you to take advantage of

It has been a privilege serving the MediClim community. We look forward to continuing to put your needs first.

Yours for the long haul,
The MedliClim.com team
