I was watching the U.S. tennis semi finals. In a break with tradition the organizers had put on both semis at the same time because the rump of a hurricane was due to pass over New York and bring with it rain and wind. "It's very heavy weather," a commentator said. "Really overcast." "Rafa's not playing up to his usual standard," his co host said. "I'm not feeling up to par," complained one of the people watching the tennis with me. "Is it your head? You've been so well this week," her husband said. "It's the weather as usual," she said as Rafa missed a gimme. New York and Toronto, where I live, very often share the same weather pattern at the same time. It occurred to me that Rafa and the t.v. watcher suffer similar weather sensitivity. And that's what MediClim is all about. Maybe someone should warn Rafa that when the weather is the way it was that day, he should be prepared for a slow start, at the very least. By the way, Andy Murray, who's a Scot, must be used to blustery, heavy weather. He won the next two games to take the first set.
