Thanks for helping to make this an exciting 15 months!
To say the last year and a quarter has been exciting is an understatement... for the following reasons (and not necessarily in order of importance):
1) We're an integral part of a pilot project to help those infirm people cared for by Trusts set up by the National Health Service in the U.K. This project is run by a lecturer in telehealth at the university of York (U.K.) It will provide independent, ethically based evidence of Mediclim's use in helping improve health outcomes for those patients suffering from the chronic diseases about which we provide Health Forecasts. This particular Trust cares for 4,000 people. When the results come out (around September) our service will be offered to the other 300 Trusts that care for 800,000 people
2) We are to be part of a project designed to help improve the health outcomes of diabetics in Turkey. This project is overseen by the World Ahead Program of Intel Corp in the U.S. Proving that we are of use will provide us with the opportunity to offer help to other less technologically developed countries that are of interest to Intel.
3) We have now sent out 1,200,000 Health Forecasts to people living in Canada, the U.S., Britain, Eire and France.
4) We received an honorable mention on the Sunday Times website.
5) After an interview on CBC radio we were spotted by reporters from Health Check, a program that is aired weekly on the World Service of B.B.C. radio. I took part, as the medical expert, in the program aired on 22nd October 2009. You can listen to it if you care to visit the B.B.C. site.
And there is more in the pipeline. It is true to say that none of this would have happened if you had not signed up to receive our Health Forecasts. We are proud to be able to say we help people deal with their chronic disease at no cost to themselves. If you know of anyone who would benefit from Mediclim please tell them about us. We need subscribers. They are our lifeblood and why the team at Mediclim do what we do.
