Weather and Pain

I have had Migraine headaches since I was 2 years old and I have Fibromyalgia. I have told people many times that weather changes and tempertures and air pressure changes do effect these conditions. People who are not effected by these things don't tend to believe it. Cold weather really causes pain with Fibromyalgia and Migraines can be sensitive so many things. I found this site and am interested to see how it works out with my own conditions. Is there any chance of you including Fibromyalgia into your forecasts. It would be nice to have some advance warning of a flare up. Thank you for this site.

I think you are reading my mind and perhaps my medical file as well!

weather and pain

Hi there, I too have fibromyalgia, arthritis, TMJ, chronic pain, & chronic fatigue, and I will swear on a million bibles that weather is the one thing that will send my pain level through the roof more than anything else in the world. Barametric pressure, up & down, humidity, temperatures, hot & cold, strong winds, all affect me. It is the worst while things are changing. Then when the weather settles down in one way, the pain subsides a bit. Don't let anyone tell you that weather does not affect your body. I would love more info for fibromyalgia too. I realize there are only so many conditions that you can deal with, but any kind of reference to all-over pain would be good. One more thing, is there a way to go back a few days in the alerts to compare how I felt with what any alerts said that day? Thanks. Hopefully this site can help us even a little bit.

yes

I have been diagnosed with all those things as well. The TMJ, FMS, CFS, PMS, it is ridiculous but one thing is for sure, it hurts and the weather is my #1 trigger. A couple other things I have been told on my quest and mentioning is for comparative reasons: I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis or low thyroid disease and when doing an MRI of my spine, They found that I have a slight Chiari....that is where your cerebellar tonsils protrude from the opening in the bottom of your skull. My is slight and the spinal canal flows freely but still, in light of all these problems, it makes me wonder is this just another symptom of some genetic illness they will discover someday? Like many of you, I just want a name for what I have. I will cheer when you tell me even thought I am sick! It is easier to say I have --------, when someone asks what is wrong then to start listing a bunch of symptoms that make you sound like a hypochondriac!
